I am not a food blogger, will this course help me?
While we focus on composing food photos you’ll be able to apply it in other areas too. We also teach you how to master camera settings and editing in Lightroom.
How much do I need to spend on camera supplies?
For the highest quality photos, I recommend a full frame DSLR, a 50mm and a 100mm. Additionally, I recommend purchasing an Expo Disc. You'll also need LightRoom for editing.
I have an older camera and can't afford to upgrade, is that a problem?
Not at all! You can use that camera! The training in Pretty Focused works for any DSLR. While the settings may be in different locations on the camera, you will still be able to learn how to take a properly exposed photo on your camera.
I have a Nikon {or another brand} will I be able to take this course?
Shooting in manual settings principles are the same. It's only the the location on the camera that will be different. You will still be able to learn how to take a properly exposed photo on your camera.
I only plan on using an iPhone for my blog's photos, will this course work for me?
You’ll learn composition, styling and strategy for sure! That’s a huge part of our training. But there are not specific instructions on how to operate an iPhone camera.
What kind of styling items do I need to start with?
You'll definitely need a styling board, white foam boards and a set of nice dishes. In the course, I talk more specifically about these items and how I use them.
